How To Run In Your New Home - Customer Care Home

At all of our apartment developments an independent management company has been appointed to ensure communal areas are maintained, for which a shared service charge will be applied.

Common areas are entirely the responsibility of the owners after the first handover at the block.

The following items briefly describe the areas the managing agents hold responsibility for:

  • Common hallway cleaning & lighting
  • Maintenance of these areas to include paintwork and repairs
  • Main entrance doors & locks
  • Window cleaning for the entire building
  • External maintenance of the building, i.e. brickwork, gutters, windows, roof etc
  • Any external common areas, i.e. the car park courtyard
  • Electronic parking & pedestrian gates
  • External paintwork
  • Bin areas and clearing
  • Building insurance for the block

This list is by no means exhaustive, but should cover the main areas the management company will organise and then invoice the owners for. Owners will be encouraged to get very actively involved in the process as much as possible and local decisions are always welcomed.
